BROOKLYN TURF
BROOKLYN, NY

Brooklyn Turf is an indoor soccer facility located in the Gowanus Basin that will offer year-round opportunities for full field competition as well as casual adult-league play, youth development & club training.

This 60,000 sf multi-use space will be positioned over the rooftop of a former industrial structure. A new steel platform will bridge the existing rooftop and provide a new substrate. The synthetic playing surface will be covered with a 180-foot clear span prefabricated steel truss system and an insulated polyvinyl fabric. New egress corridors and refuge areas will be slipped into the 190,000 sf building below, providing code compliant opportunities for new light manufacturing and commercial office space.

Located in an area of high soccer-field demand, the facility is sized to accommodate scholastic/club field regulations and can be reconfigured as three smaller fields for adult league or small-side play. Additional amenities will include a cafe, multi-use party rooms, a catering kitchen and a rooftop soccer-themed bar.
